Es verfügt über eine Wasserpumpe, ein Schaummittel-Dosiersystem und ein Druckluftsystem zur Brandbekämpfung durch Versprühen von Druckluftschaum. Zusätzlich ist es mit einem unabhängigen Stromgenerator und einer Notbeleuchtung ausgestattet, die eine Rundumbeleuchtung aus verschiedenen Winkeln ermöglicht und so Rettungswege im Brandfall schnell ausleuchtet. Der Howo heavy 4x2 CAFS fire truck , built on the high-quality Howo C5H chassis, combines superior power with environmentally friendly emissions, capable of tackling various challenging terrains. It integrates a water pump, foam proportioning system, and air compression system, extinguishing fires by spraying compressed air foam. It also features an independent power generation system and an emergency lighting system, providing multi-angle, all around illumination to quickly illuminate rescue routes during a fire. The control panel is language selectable and offers various optional configurations to meet different needs.

The CAFS (Combined Firefighting System) firefighting process can be summarized in three key steps, corresponding to its 3 core systems:

▶ Proportional Mixing:

The vehicle's water tank provides water.

The vehicle's foam tank provides foam concentrate.

A precise electronic or mechanical proportioner precisely mixes the water and foam concentrate at a preset ratio (typically 0.1% to 6%) to form a "foam solution."

▶ Air Injection:

The vehicle's air compressor starts working, generating high-pressure air.

The high-pressure air is injected into the pipeline containing the freshly mixed "foam solution."

▶ Fogging and Spraying:

The water, foam concentrate, and compressed air undergo turbulence and mixing in the pipeline, ultimately reacting fully in the foam generator (such as a water gun) at the end of the fire hose, producing extremely fine and uniform compressed air foam.

Firefighters spray this high-quality foam onto the fire scene using water guns.
